Tigers Defeat Winterset 31-9 in Non-District Matchup

The ADM Tigers extended their unbeaten run with an impressive 31-9 victory over the Winterset Huskies on Friday night in Adel. The Tigers used a balanced offensive attack and a stifling defense to secure the win and improve to 2-0 on the season.

First Half:
Winterset got on the board first with a 3-point field goal in the opening quarter, but ADM quickly responded with a touchdown as Quarterback Hudson Shull found Taylor Kinney on a 10-yard pass to give the Tigers a 7-3 lead. Shull had an efficient night, completing 13 of 20 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns, despite two interceptions.

In the second quarter, Shull connected with Grant Jansen on a 20-yard touchdown pass, extending ADM's lead to 14-3. Winterset added a touchdown, closing the gap to 14-9 at halftime.

Second Half:
The Tigers took control of the game in the third quarter, with Jonathon Hatchitt's 7-yard rushing touchdown capping off a 55-yard performance on the ground. Shull contributed another rushing touchdown from 4 yards out, and Kicker Ethan Asche added a 35-yard field goal to give ADM a commanding 24-9 lead heading into the fourth quarter.

The defense continued to dominate, with Brayden Rynearson leading the way with six solo tackles, three assists, and a sack. ADM's defense also forced multiple turnovers, including an interception by Wyatt Schweiger and a fumble recovery by Grant Engleman.

In the final quarter, ADM sealed the game with another rushing touchdown, bringing the final score to 31-9.
