Season Opener Goes to ADM
The ADM Boys Soccer team opened up the season in dramatic fashion with a 3-2 overtime win over North Polk. The win moves ADM to 1-0 overall and in the RRC. The win is also the first for head coach, Tom Horton, who after 18 years as an assistant has taken over the reins.
The Tigers started off slowly and trailed 2-0 for the majority of the first half. However, a strong close to the first half saw the Tigers tie the Comets 2-2. After both teams displayed stingy defense in the second half, the game went to OT still tied 2-2. The Tigers were aggressive right away in OT, and Rhylan Stine-Smith knocked in the game winning goals 50 seconds into overtime to secure the victory. The Tigers will now host Glenwood on Friday, March 31st at 6:30 pm in the first game of their annual tournament.
