ADM Boys Cross Country Places 5th at Gilbert Invite

 

Ames, IA (ISU Cross Country Course) – The ADM boys cross country team turned in a strong performance against a highly competitive field at the Gilbert Invitational on Thursday, placing 5th overall with 130 team points. The meet featured 20 teams and was held on the challenging Iowa State University Cross Country Course.

Team Results

ADM battled through a deep lineup of state-ranked programs, finishing just behind Sioux Center (126 points) and ahead of Clear Creek-Amana (156 points). Gilbert claimed the team title with 35 points, followed by Pella (73) and Des Moines Christian (103).

Individual Highlights

Leading the way for the Tigers was Ty Miller, who earned a 12th-place finish with a time of 16:20.20. Not far behind, Ty Landphair crossed in 17th place (16:35.85), giving ADM two top-20 finishers.

The Tigers packed well through their scoring lineup:

  • Dain Holdmeyer – 31st, 17:11.82

  • Andrew Coller – 33rd, 17:15.90

  • Max Marple – 37th, 17:20.75

ADM's depth continued with strong efforts from Nick Subbert (44th, 17:30.30) and Jack Leistikow (46th, 17:32.65), who finished just seconds apart.

Rounding out the varsity seven were Robbie Hall (51st, 17:37.42), Owen Royer (103rd, 18:45.90), and Nicodemus Fuller (120th, 19:26.32).
